My first experience Wake Skating
Posted by Chris | Filed under Random Fun
So thanks to my good friends Ian, Daniel, and my new friend, Bill, Kaci’s awesome Dad I got the opportunity to spend some time on a boat and give wake skating a try. To the untrained eye it may look like wake boarding but to the more observant viewer you’ll find the riders feet are completely free from bindings of any kind. It’s extremely intimidating following up guys that actually know what they’re doing. Sitting in the water with a skateboard deck with no wheels just floating next to you, you tell yourself there’s absolutely no way I’m going to be able to get up on this thing. And after a few attempts you find you may be right. But take heart because with encouraging teachers around you’ll be able to dig deep and find the stuff champions are made of. So to all you who doubt the little wake skater in you, I give you this lesson in the triumph of the human spirit.

June 9th, 2008 at 5:30 pmI’m glad this story of triumph will be released to the public. This is the kind of thing that motivates people on to greatness. As we speak a young child is making the decision to stay in school while simultaneously saying no to drugs and probably running for student council president.
